"Post File Missing" Error

Post File Missing Error – Edit Machine CNC Router

Overview

If you encounter the error message “Post File Missing – Edit Machine CNC Router”, it indicates that Mozaik is unable to locate or apply a post processor for the selected CNC machine. This issue is typically caused by one of the following configuration discrepancies.

Possible Causes

1. Post Processor Not Requested or Not in the Correct Folder

Mozaik requires the appropriate post processor file to be present in the correct directory in order to generate CNC output.

This error may occur if:

  • The post processor has not been requested or installed

  • The post processor file exists but is not located in the proper Mozaik > Data > CNC > Posts folder

Resolution:

  • Verify that the required post processor has been provided

  • Confirm that the post file is placed in the correct Posts directory on the system

  • Restart Mozaik after adding or moving post processor files

2. Post Processor Not Selected in Machine Setup

Even if the post processor is installed correctly, Mozaik will generate this error if it is not selected in the machine configuration.

This can happen if:

  • The machine was added without assigning a post processor

  • The post processor selection was cleared or changed

Resolution:

  • Open Machine Setup

  • Select the affected CNC Router

  • In the Post Processor section, choose the correct post from the drop-down menu

  • Save the machine settings and regenerate the output

Summary

The “Post File Missing – Edit Machine CNC Router” error is caused by either a missing post processor file or an unassigned post processor in the machine setup. Ensuring the post processor is both installed in the correct folder and selected within the machine configuration will resolve the issue in most cases.

If the error persists after verifying these steps, contact the Mozaik Help Desk for further assistance.
